momomo:

I've asked about this for years, on Stackoverflow twice, and the question keeps being disregarded and closed down, primarily by @seven-phases-max

Lie. Here's the topic. As you can see there's no even a single downvote. His another question was closed because it was exactly identical to his first one - which is directly against SO rules (closed not even by me - @momomo, before you start lying about someone closing your Q at SO learn how these things work there first).

who refuses to understand why this is even an important thing

Ah, right. "What do I pay him for?"

because he ignored my calls, and emails for help figuring out the code in Less.js

Sure I stop communicating with someone literally insisting me to do his work for him out of nothing. (If you're interested contact me to get a copy of our email conversation).

the question was considered stupid, censored and closed down

Keep lying (yet again the link is above - try to find any "stupid, censored and closed down" there).

was considered "impossible".

By whom? It would be nice to see some quotes. Finally look at all proposed #1075 examples and try to find at least one entry of the word "impossible".

Years I've spent arguing about this, and finally had to spend a week to implement it.

Ah, so that's the key. Here we have a man who's got frustrated because others refused to immediately spend their time to do the thing he's interested in. And now when he's finally got his lazy ass to stand up and do at least something of his own he thinks everybody else became his debtors.

If you had no time, you could have well brought me into a conversation or suggested other channels or people.

Seriously? Now that's getting really annoying. Dude, I pointed you to the Less issue tracker starting from your very first Q at SO and kept doing that in every conversation we had there (links) and via email. Just ... no comments.

Conclusion: freeloader and lier trying to convince himself he has a reasons to be such a selfish moron everybody else owe to.

Dude i asked for a Skype meeting for the benefit of whatever shit project you are working on.

Here is the discussion after he responds to a comment on SO to contact me, and then stops answering.

Nice that you sherry pick parts of the discussion and starts fresh.

Dude, rather than admitting that you are wrong you keep defending the fact that you assume everyone is a coder that's worse than you, or that you know the particular subject more and therefore there is no value in collaborating or helping such an individual.

Don't get it into your head. Me & You, there are no comparisons. Different species. You are PHP & MySQL hobby developer. I make 25K per month for my IT services, and that's not in Rubles. Your problem is that you did not even COMPREHEND the question or the desired function. I created a full example and you still did not get it (the deleted question I cannot find).

You want to "help" only your way, and sure, you are allowed to, but do not expect me to respect or reward that. I only said that I won't be sharing the code with a person that behaves like that. That's it. Why? Do you think I should? Do you think it's fair?

Freeloader? How am I freeloader when I put in the work, after being denied a little help from the community you are part of, and then you expect me to give it away to such a person for free? What I offered was to do the work and publish it for a few pointers.

You can consider this a way for us, as contributors to the less source code, collaborating.

In return I would pay back by giving away the code and 40+ hours I spent on it, majority of which was just trying to figure out that code. You wanted to enforce that the discussion happen of text. I am not going to spend hours formulating and waiting for answers, something I've done numerous of times and especially when in the end you and others fail to even comprehend the problem or question.

Ah, so that's the key. Here we have a man who's got frustrated because others refused to immediately spend their time to do the thing he's interested in. And now when he's finally got his lazy ass to stand up and do at least something of his own he thinks everybody else became his debtors.

No, I only asked for a few pointers. See how you are trying to twist it so you can feel better about yourself? I did not ask for you to do it. And it was hardly immediately.

Good luck with your Less career. I am already moving away from the crap it is. Maybe I'll even build my own. Plus this discussion will serve you well one day.

Ciao.

No, dude. You did it for the benefit of the project you were working on so don't try to present it up-side-down backdate. I neither have or had anything that would benefit of your "beautiful code".

Well, never mind, don't bother complaining. I've got you're not able to understand even basic common sense things a while ago.
So you've got my answers and I've got yours. I think It's enough information for others to decide who is the selfish moron here.

It's unfortunate that the conversation escalated to this point. 😞

Honestly, I think you both could have communicated a bit better. That's not throwing any shade or blame around. I think tone is hard to get right via text, and I see where both of you were coming from. e.g. @momomo not feeling heard by Less devs and @seven-phases-max feeling disrespected and having unfair demands placed on Less volunteers. So I get it. And I've also had my own feelings escalate a back-and-forth like this on an Internet thread where I've made personal attacks, so I get that too. We're all human. My hope is that we can all do better in the future.
