Genre: Geometric Board Game
No. of Players: 2
The game begins with a coin toss. The winner of the toss selects which set of 8 triangles they will use when playing the game: Solids (all black) or Stripes (half-black, half-white). The player who selects Stripes gets to choose which player makes the first move. The Stripes player must also play their all-white piece as their first move.
Players take turns placing one triangle on the table at a time. Once all triangles have been placed on the board game ends.
Once all triangles have been placed on the board the Solids player counts the number of contiguously connected black half-triangles on the board, while the Stripes player counts the number of half-triangles in their largest contiguously connected white shape on the board. If thee number of black half-triangles in the largest contiguous black shape on the board is more than twice the number of white half-triangles in the largest contiguous white shape on the board, then Solids wins. If there are more than half the number of white half-triangles than black, then Stripes wins.
